Sometimes it's helpful to hear from other families' experiences. What follows are a small selection of the responses to a request for our community of current and former students to tell us, "What makes King's Valley special?" The response was overwhelming and humbling.

King's Valley Christian School is a wonderful school. I have children that range in age from 5 to 27 years old.

When my husband and I hit hard economic times many years ago, my son went from KVCS to a local public school. My son was in 1st grade at the time he was enrolled at KVCS. When he went to public school for 2nd grade, during the entire school year he complained of being bored because he had learned all the material in 1st grade at KVCS.

From then on it was a no brainer where my children would attend school. My daughter now attends Kindergarten and she loves it. It is academically challenging. It is also a loving and secure environment. Plus I love it that she learns about God and memorizes verses of scripture as a part of her homework. I can think of nowhere else because this just feels like home to our family.

Our experiences at King's Valley will always be treasured. The school and

it's staff really care about the standard of education and the spiritual

leadership and growth that they give to their students.

The public schools, even the higher rated blue Ribbon schools in Walnut Creek just don't have the same care and attention that Kings Valley does for it's students. My only regret is that they don't have High School classes as well. The graduating class had such a spirit of family that it was a shame to see them split up. I highly endorse this school.

God most certainly guided me to King’s Valley. My family and I were living in Southern California in 1996. In Feb. of 1997 I accepted a position in San Leandro and moved in with my brother in-law as my oldest son finished Kindergarten. My main task was to find a school that I felt to be a nurturing environment for both my son’s and that would determine where we would live.

I researched and visited private and public schools throughout the bay area with the commute never being a factor. The first time I came to the school was at an open house and what an experience. The teachers and administration were friendly, informative, and had instant answers to all my questions. The curriculum was set to instill the values I hold close and wanted for my son’s. The playground and fields reminded me of the open spaces I grew up with. It was and still is the perfect environment for young people to get an education and develop into young adults.

I know the story is long but this school has offered so much to my family and I am so thankful for it that even this lengthy message doesn’t say enough. If you are looking to choose a school for your child(ren) you can’t go wrong with King’s Valley.

KVCS means peace of means my sons get to attend school together which creates a closer bond with them even though they are 6 years apart. KVCS means an extension of my family because all of the teachers and staff treat my kids with kindness, love and respect. KVCS means that we all learn about God together, which has given us the opportunity to grow in our relationship with him. KVCS means the world to our family. We feel so blessed to have our kids getting educated in academics and in Christ at KVCS.

Thank you for all you do!

The Kennerly Family

I will simply say to you what I say to every other person that asks my opinion of KV.

From day one, I've felt we were part of a much bigger "family"! I love that the school and faculty endorse emphatically strong morals and values. The fact that the Word of God and it's meaning is woven throughout the academic curriculum - which by the way is off the charts. Having had a child who transferred from public school to KV it was noticeably different how strong the academics are at KV. Having all of the sports and drama programs (also off the charts) is a huge plus. The teachers are amazing and make it very evident how much they care about each child.

Hope that helps!!! it's all very true

Have a great day!

When my daughter entered King's Valley, she was transitioning from living with her mom to moving in with her dad. She was moving from a public school in different state and leaving everything she knew. She came to me with a problem expressing her thoughts and a lack of confidence. It's hard to pin-point what part of the public school system failed her, but she was not progressing well.

The students and teachers at King's Valley helped change all of that. Through an excellent drama program and intense English department, my daughter found the words to express herself and in many situations, take the lead. With an energetic and humorous math teacher she excelled beyond my hopes; and now, she is breezing through her advanced courses in a highly competitive high school.

Lastly, the students, who are a reflection of the great work the teachers and parents put in, accepted my daughter with warm embrace and encouragement. At King's Valley, my daughter found her voice, gained confidence in her abilities and discovered a Christian spirit of being.

Eli and I are confident we made the right choice to send our kids to King's Valley. The school fully supported our effort to raise Angela and Elias first and foremost as Christians, not just with a general knowledge of God but with the purpose of developing a meaningful and lasting relationship with Him.

Their experience at KV clearly strengthened the foundation of their faith along with giving them an excellent education. They both still speak very fondly of many teachers and friends from KV. We are grateful to have been able to send our kids here.

our best to everyone there!

What KVCS means to my family is a school that provides not only a safe and secure environment for our children, but a school dedicated and committed to giving our children the best education possible. KVCS prepares our children throughout their childhood years to become responsible young individuals who will face any challenges that comes their way.

KVCS teaches our children accountability, responsibility, commitment, and to live a Christian life by caring for themselves and others. KVCS has set a great foundation for my children in growing up and having a lasting memory with faculty and peers. We could not have chosen a better school who we can recommend proudly.

Thank You.

Our family was led to King’s Valley Christian School in 2006 when our eldest son began Preschool. Today, both of our sons attend KVCS and our daughter will enroll in King’s Valley Preschool this fall. Over the years, King’s Valley has been a wonderful blessing to our family. Their outstanding academic programs have presented our children with opportunities to excel in their knowledge, skills, and abilities to become valued citizens within our community.

We are also confident in knowing that the same Christian values that we teach within our home are being reinforced in the curriculum, performing arts, athletic, and social activities at KVCS. We are continually amazed as we watch our children grown in their faith and walk with Christ as a result of what they have learned at KVCS. Having three children attend KVCS is not an easy financial burden to endure, however the spiritual rewards we are witness to far exceed any sacrifice we have made to allow our children the experience of a Christ-centered education at King's Valley Christian School.

KVCS has been great for Jane and Mason! You all have helped shaped them into caring and giving "little people" with good study habits. I especially think it is important to mention that the faculty takes such personal interest in the development of each student and recognize their strength and also see and help improve their weakness. I have seen shy and quiet students blossoms as well as boisterous ones that learned to keep themselves in check.

It has been a wonderful experience and the school and the other KVCS families truly have been such an important part of our family.

My daughter was at KVCS since she was 3 months old until she graduated 8th grade almost 2 years ago. There was a reason she remained at KVCS for most of her life. We felt part of a very special family where love, trust, and nurturing thrived. She not only received a great education, but most importantly she learned values that she will take with her the rest of her life. Now a sophomore at Berean, we can see the results of the foundation that was built at KVCS and we know that she will be successful in her future endeavours and a contributor to her community.
